Web permission form

In order for photos of your child to be put up on this blog (or anywhere on the school website) we, of course, need your permission.  To give permission for photos and/or student work to be put up, please visit the link below:

https://docs.google.com/a/mdirss.org/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dHdGWWYtcVNjejlKZ0FZQ0oyX0ZtU2c6MQ#gid=0

And be in touch with any questions or concerns that you may have.  Thanks!

Also, check out a few images from the first two days in the classroom...  We have been working on our classroom name chart and recognizing our classmates' names.  We also worked together to make class rules.  Our behavior chart helps us stay on track and follow them.

Happy second day of school!

[Not quite] Back to School time!

fresh, new crayons- yes!!
Hello!

Just a quick welcome to those who have discovered this blog, hopefully through the letters mailed home this week welcoming you to our upcoming Kindergarten school year!

I use this blog primarily to share anecdotes of what is going on day-to-day in our classroom... While you will receive correspondence regularly in your child's folder, this site is really just for fun and sharing.  You will see photos only of students whose parents are comfortable with having them online of course.  During the first week of school, Conners Emerson sends home online permission forms.  If you return them and grant permission, your child's photo and/or work may appear on this blog or the school website.  You should familiarize yourself with that site, as they offer updates on school lunches, calendars, school news, etc.

I look forward to seeing you at Parent Night on August 28th.  Below, please find the school's description of the event:

Spring days..

We have been so busy- having lots of fun learning and playing together.  With our three daily recess breaks (yay spring!) we are feeling super ready to challenge ourselves in the classroom.  The progress we have all made so far is remarkable, and we are aware of how precious our last 19 days of Kindergarten are to us all :)

Science Fair

Good luck to the Kindergarteners who have chosen to participate in tonight's science fair! Our class is working on a weather-related inquiry project too; science is a blast!

The fair begins at 6; kids may arrive at at 5:30 to set up. :)
