A wonderful teacher named Jessica brought three owls to our class on Wednesday. Jessica works at
The Chewonki Foundation. She taughts us about three owls found in Maine- the saw-whet, the barred and the great-horned owls. We learned their bodies, adaptations they have, and how they survive in the wild- in Maine. It was so cool to see real owls up close, listen to recordings of their calls, and touch samples of owl feathers, skulls and more. Thank you, Jessica!

That wasn't the only exciting part of the day (how lucky are we?) Today Mr. Barter invited us to the computer lab to make snow people and snowflakes. It was really cool to do this work all by ourselves...
